This is an excellent video on how to clean a ruffed grouse, but it’ll work for any grouse you’ve caught. While a lot of people like to just breast out the bird, here in Montana we have to use the leg meat as well, so cleaning and roasting the whole bird makes sense.
While I like to save the feathers, he tosses them. I’d imagine you can have some neat projects using those feathers. Anyway, check the video out. He uses a tool to clean I never thought of using, but will in the future.
