If you haven’t gotten the 411 yet, black bears are dangerous game. Any animal which can kill you is, by definition, dangerous game.
While our staff has their own preferences about bear guns, we decided to share some thoughts on the subject from ace hunter, Randy Newberg. Randy’s opinions are quite valid, and we agree with them in the main, on bullets in particular. We would add the bigger bores to his list, though. In particular, the most versatile cartridge ever designed, the .375 H&H Magnum. Otherwise, we’re on the same page here.
